Our Story
“To heal, protect, and enhance your skin from head to toe. A total well-being experience.”
Our Story
Owner, Bobbi Westra
In 2000, I started Heart Lights as a soy wax candle company; by 2003 I added natural bath and body products. In 2009, I discontinued making candles and slowed down making products until 2015: went back to school for cosmetology in 2016 and the school I attended allowed me to utilize the products I made on school salon clients. The school also purchased products to sell and my company supplied their backbar. In January 2020, I started school for massage therapy, and currently hold a South Dakota Massage Therapy License.
Fate inspired the next chapter in my life, I was working in South Dakota and had a client from Pipestone, MN tell me about a suite available. In January 2021, I opened my own business in Pipestone, MN. By March 2021, I added a salon license to my suite style salon. In April 2023, we moved to our current location at the Wellness Square. I went from 140 Sq. Ft to 863 Sq. Ft. I have this beautiful space my family and friends helped paint and decorate.
I offer all services; Keratin Treatments, Skincare, Pedicure, Manicure, Waxing, Ionic Foot Detox, Massage, Couples Massage (with another Massage Therapist), and Hair by Dani found on Instagram and Facebook for Hair cuts, Hair color, Highlights, Conditioning Treatments, waxing, and coming soon new services.
Every month I make a fresh batch of massage cream with different ingredients. My philosophy is since I am massaging your body, why not add nutrients to your skin?
We are now offering a full line of Heart Lights products; current products are a Soothing Eye Cream, Skincare line for serums, moisturizers, Hyaluronic Acid Face Cream, Body Scrub, Body lotion, and Lip Butter.
Education
I keep learning new to help you feel better.
No one is a one-size-fit all for massage, skincare, or hair. Luckily in Minnesota for my Cosmetology and Advance Practice Esthetician license I am required to take continued education. For my license in South Dakota Massage continued education is required. Even if it wasn’t required, I enjoy learning something new in my career and would still keep learning new.
